Still Serving the Military Community and their Families |

Lillian Clamens served her country seventeen years. She was a wife, a mom and a soldier. She died in a rocket attack two days before she was to deploy back to the United States. She left behind three children, (Victoria, Lana and Ayinde), a husband and many friends and family. Her husband also served in the army, seeing action in Somalia, Bosnia and Haiti. They were a military family. Lillian was a true American Hero and we all share in the loss. Rain showers meandered across south Florida, and the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery in Doral, just west of Miami, shortly before the the procession for Lillian Clamens arrived around noon on Friday. Lillian's community of family and friends, and her fellow soldiers, turned out in large numbers to support her husband and her three children as they said their final farewells to a wife and mother who did not come home. Patriots from around the state of Florida stood by to render honor and pay respect to another of America's fallen defenders. Lillian served her country in the U.S. Army for some 17 years. In the end she lost her life in defense of freedom. "Thank you" seems so inadequate. We grieve with Lillian's family, and we wish them peace and comfort. Lillian Clamens and her family are in the prayers of all Florida Patriot Guard. |
